The Cecile Pineda Papers, 1959 to the present, M1176, Department
of Special Collections, Stanford University Libraries, Stanford,
CA 94305.
The Cecile Pineda Papers, 1959-present, occupy more than 29 linear
feet of original correspondence, manuscripts, journals, reviews,
audiovisual materials, and posters that document Pineda's career
in theater and as an author. The collection is particularly rich
in documentation of the founding and operations of the Theatre
of Man, Pineda's role as director from 1969-1981, and the Theatre's
various developmental projects, workshops, etc.
The collection is also extremely rich in documenting Pineda's
career as an author, with very comprehensive coverage of her
creative process. The Manuscript Series documents her works from
their initial inception through to their final completion, and
is complete with initial drafts, intermediary versions of the
texts, the galley proofs, and the published volumes.
Similarly, her journals provide researchers with a great insight
to the influences that shaped and molded her perceptions and
her work from 1959 through the present.
